Pilot Trips
A trip specifically designed to help you plan your Aliya.
This service includes:
- An initial questionnaire, in which relevant personal information with regards to your family and your child is completed. If your child has undergone a didactic assessment or treatment in their country of origin, we require such documentation in order to obtain the full background of your child.
- ACE’s specialists will:
- Prepare the parents for school meetings.
- Arrange the times and dates of all meetings with the school.
- Escort and partner at these meetings.
- Arrange a final meeting with the parents to make a final decision.
- Assist with the school registration process.
Preparation of New Immigrant Children for Entrance in to School
ACE’s specialists will:
- Organize meetings for new immigrant parents with previous immigrants whose children are already studying at the school.
- Assist in preparing your child for school by conducting one-on-one meetings to discuss all aspects of school life, from both an educational and social standpoint (for example; understanding school timetables, what to expect in lessons, recess, social games etc.).
- Take your child on a preliminary tour of the school and advise on extra-curricular activities.
- If necessary, assistance will be provided in purchasing books and equipment for school (a separate fee will be levied for this service).
Personalized Study Programs
We at ACE are aware of the fact that every student’s needs are different, especially being new immigrants. In light of this fact, we carry out initial didactic testing in order to pinpoint the exact learning needs of your child in the areas of reading, writing, comprehension and mathematics. Following the assessment, a personal study plan will be devised for each individual child, taking into account your child’s strengths and weaknesses. This personal study plan will include suggestions for both the school staff and the parents on how to best work with your child.
One on One Tutoring
ACE offers a variety of lessons in all subjects, taught by our highly qualified team, all of whom work under the constant supervision of the pedagogical manager.
Homework Assistance
We at ACE believe that for new immigrant students to succeed they need to feel successful from day one. We will therefore assist your child in dealing with his/her school assignments immediately. At the beginning of the year parents and teachers will decide together which subjects to focus on, a plan that will be constantly upgraded and modified throughout the year according to the needs of your child.
Exam Preparation
Your child will receive assistance in exam preparation through the teaching of the necessary material. As your child progresses we will prepare him/her for examinations through the teaching of appropriate learning strategies with the aim of making them self-sufficient students.
Ongoing Assistance
Both parents and children will receive ongoing assistance throughout the entire academic year, beginning with the initial school registration and continuing through the provision of any other necessary aids.
Counseling Services
- Didactic and psycho-didactic educational assessments.
- Assist and advise in the preparation involved when it comes to your child moving schools, moving classes and in the transition from junior high to high school.
- Counseling on issues that affect your child such as adjustment, learning and social difficulties etc.
- The centre will also be on-call for queries relating to any problems and or unexpected events that may arise during the year (this service is only available to ACE members).
Tutoring for Small Groups
Group tutoring is intended for students that require support and assistance in doing their homework and in preparation for exams. Each group will be comprised of 2 to 4 students and will be led by a highly experienced teacher. Within each group the students will either be from the same class at school or of the same age group. The price per hour per student will vary depending on the size of the group and additional classes can be organised in the run up to exams.
Adult Ulpan
Hebrew tutoring for groups of adults is available. Each group will be comprised of 6 to 8 students. Groups will be determined based on the participants' levels (beginners, intermediary and higher). The groups will be led by highly experienced Ulpan teachers and taught completely in Hebrew. The course will focus on reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and speaking. Each student will be given personal attention according to their needs.
Bagrut Preparation Classes
Bagrut preparation classes are available in History, Civics and Mathematics. Each group will be comprised of 7 to 8 students and will be led by teachers with specific experience in preparing students for the Bagrut. Each student will be given personal attention according to their specific needs; such as Olim, students with Attention Deficit Disorder etc. Bagrut preparation classes comprising of 3 to 4 students are also on offer if so desired at an additional cost per student.
